Reservations
The Wave Crest use year is divided into two seasons:
"Turf Season" - Summer weeks mid-July through mid-September
The eight weeks during Turf Season are "fixed". Owners of Turf weeks automatically have reservations for the same unit / same week each year. Turf Season generally coincides with the Del Mar Thoroughbred racing schedule; however, it is not a guarantee.
"Surf Season" - Fall, Winter, & Spring weeks mid-September through mid-July
Surf Season is considered "floating". Owners of Surf Season weeks must make individual reservations for each week owned every year by participating in a random, lottery-style reservation process which is conducted each January. Please see "Surf Season Reservation Process" below for more information.

Following are a few important tips to consider when submitting your reservation request(s):
Complete the worksheet and mail it back to Grand Pacific Vacation Services as soon as possible. It is very easy to set the reservation materials aside and forget about it during the busy holiday season. Please DO NOT wait until Reservation Day to submit your request! Requests received after 8:00 AM. on January 16th are considered late and will be handled at the end of the process, so please be sure to send them to Grand Pacific Vacation Services prior to January 12, 2025.

The quantities of summer and holiday weeks are limited during the Surf Season and therefore are very difficult to reserve unless your worksheet is randomly drawn very early in the reservation process. The high-demand weeks in May, June and July as well as holiday-weeks typically have already been reserved by the time the second group is drawn. Consider the many advantages of enjoying Wave Crest during the beautiful fall and winter months.
If you own multiple weeks of the same unit type and same color, and you wish for your requests to be attached and drawn out together, you must indicate on each worksheet whether you wish the weeks to be reserved consecutively, during the same week or spread out. If there are no specific instructions on the worksheet, they will be drawn out individually. Also, if you plan to include any notes of this type, please make them as clear as possible.
Lastly, keep in mind that during the first few days of the process Grand Pacific Vacation Services and the resort will not be accepting telephone reservation request calls. If the vacation specialist is unable to make a reservation for you from the requested dates/units, they will be calling you to find an alternate week. Because the process takes a few days, you may receive a call a few days after the process begins, especially those in the "Red" group (non-priority this year). If you are unable to take the call, they will make a reservation closest to your request. Once the reservation confirmations are mailed out, owners may contact the resort if they wish to inquire about possibly changing the reservation.
